We can’t actually know what reality is. Physicists like me try but we are mere storytellers. Our stories use the language of math to connect scattered experimental numbers. While the experiments are set, the paths connecting them are not. This freedom allows for more than one physics story. More than one description of reality.
Good stories tie a few measurements together. Great stories connect many. The best reflect the physicist as much as it does the physics. Unfortunately, physics stories generally need years of study to understand.
I’ve created a way to tell my physics story to everyone by using my Science as Art.
Cosmic Art: New Frontier Collection
Exploring the plasma frontier.
This collection celebrates solving a supposedly impossible problem on plasma dynamics in Earth’s complex magnetic field. This scientific achievement provides a foundation for the next generation of plasma models, measurements, and understanding.

Cosmic Art: Apex Prime Collection
Unparalleled views from the top.
There is nothing like the view from the top of the world. These images offer us a glimpse of the Earth that plasma experiences at the apex, the highest point along a geomagnetic field line.

Cosmic Art: Inspiration Collection
Where it started.
Spaceflight technology provided humanity the first opportunity to look back at the Earth from space rather than out into space from Earth. The images in this collection reflect advances made in our understanding of the universe through direct observation. The other Cosmic Art collections expand upon this idea through the lens of plasma physics.
Purchases from the Inspiration Collection support open source science software.
