We can’t actually know what reality is. Physicists like me try but we are mere storytellers. Our stories use the language of math to connect scattered experimental numbers. While the experiments are set, the paths connecting them are not. Good stories tie a few measurements together. Great stories connect many. The best reflect the physicist as much as it does the physics. Unfortunately, physics stories generally need years of study to understand.

I’ve created a way to tell my physics story to everyone by using my Science as Art. In this case, the first accurate solution for a problem originally considered impossible to solve, plasma dynamics in Earth’s complex magnetic field. The physics has also been distilled into software for use on satellite missions. Current missions include ICON and COSMIC-2.
